My brother gave me the whole set of this series. I've been out of the loop from any popular book right now cuz of my work and some personal stuff going on. But, I'd seen a lot of people from my flist read the series. So my question is...how good or bad is this series? I need some input without getting spoiled whether good or bad is acceptable lol.

Heh, I finaly got around to read a Jane Austen novel. I borrowed Pride and Prejudice from the library. I wanted to get Emma but the branch that I went had it's copy checked-out. The novel is not bad but I could use more character interactions rather than narrations. Perhaps Emma would be different? Which one has the surprised ending that I keep reading from the HP debate/shipwar threads?

I've been reading lots of shoujo manga lately! Shoujo manga's deals mostly on romance and I some of them are really well-written. I like the romantic comedy genre more than the serious ones. LOL

So I'm not a fan of the movie. In fact I haven't seen OoTP yet but I would go and see DH movie just for this scene alone. This has got to be my favorite scene in DH. I probably read this scene a dozen times already and my enjoynment hasn't diminished one bit. Harry vs Voldemort was quite awesome but Molly vs. Bellatrix was spectacular! The duel was quite short but the emotions and the feelings behind it was really engaging to read especially the contrast of feelings between the two women.

First I'd like to say that DH is easily my favorite book of the series. So many touching and emotional moments in this book. This is probably the only book in the series that almost made me cry.

In conclusion this is one H/Ger who's very satisfied with how the ship I support goes and how it went down to. As Harry said in the epilogue: ALL IS WELL and that's more than good enough for a reader like me who want a happy ending for our hero.

Wheeee! The Simpsons Movie will be out July 27! Woohooo! I can't wait for this one. Transformers weren't half bad either. It's quite fun to see the Autobots and the Decepticons in live action and in 3D but I still miss the old classic "more than meets the eye" Transformers

Rumour has it that Evangelion will be made into a live action movie. Holy crap! I hope not! I shudder to think how they're gonna butcher it. Bleach announce the second movie too! Woohooo! So many great movies to choose from.

Looks like everyone enjoyed watching OoTP movie. I'll probably get around to watching it as long as it's for free. LOL!

Is it just me or FAP is down today? Darn, and it's just the best time to go there too what with all those juicy tidbits from the OoTP premiere.

Ok that's enough of my rambling

EHHHHH! I got SDK volume 21. Finally! Hotaru is the best. When it comes to coolness and spaciness no one does it better than Hotaru. He pwned Shinrei in every way. I can't wait for Vol. 22 when the last Shiseiten, Akari, shows up and Kyo really kick some Shinrei ass. I wish TokyoPop release the vol. every month.

I love Shigeki Sato from Whistle! manga as well. He's really cool and funny and he always steal the show from Sho. Daichi Fuwa is not that bad either. His snarky remarks and non-changing expressions are really priceless. The anime is not too bad either which is surprising considering how many crappy anime adaptaption there are out there.

I want Prince of Tennis too but my local library has a quite a number people on hold for it. Ryoma Echizen is one cool dude. He can talk the talk but he can also walk the walk. He's so good at pwning his opponent which makes him such a cool guy.

Hikaru no Go is another manga that I'm reading right now. Good storyline and characters so far.

I have a new playground battleground at the moment while impatiently waiting for Deathly Hallows. Just like in HP fandom, shipping seems to be a big deal in Bleach fandom as well. They have their own shipping war too though not in the same magnitude of HP. I noticed that there's a similarities on the ships and shippers in HP with the ships and shippers in Bleach.

The two main ships in Bleach are Ichigo/Rukia and Ichigo/Orihime. I checked-out the arguments on both ships and what do you know it's like a HP deja vu. IchiRuki's arguments are too similar with Harry/Hermione whereas IchiOri is somewhat similar to Harry/Ginny. The fans of either side are almost similar in behaviour as well.

I read the manga and up-to-date with the recent chapters so I support one of this pairing.Of course, just like in HP it's obvious which ship I support.

Well...I have a new OTP. I'm currently reading BLEACH manga (and watching the anime too) and although it's a shounen manga where romance is almost next to nothing I think that the most plausible canon pairing right now is Ichigo/Orihime.

I wouldn't mind Ichigo/Rukia but I just don't see that relationship heading through the romantic route. Plus I can see a Renji/Rukia pairing more than Ichigo/Rukia. I checked out some site and I am surprised that there was a shipping war over this on that side of fandom although not as big as HP shipping wars.

Ichigo/Orihime kinda reminds me of H/G a bit. Orihime has a crush on Ichigo at the beginning of the series and as the story grows on it turns into love. Of course it's one-sided right now...but the canon moments between Ichigo/Orihime seems to be pointing into a romantic relationship.

I just can't wait for the story to unfold and whether I would be right about this one too the way I was right with H/G

I finally got vol. 20 of Samurai Deeper Kyo! I'm annoyed at how slow Tokyopop is doing the translations considering the series has ended already. Vol. 21 will be released Feb. of next year. The only upside is that I won't have to spend a LOT of money buying so many volumes at once.

I can't wait for the release of the final volume of Ranma 1/2 as well! It's on Nov. 14. Even though I'd read all volumes online already I still want my hands on that volume since it's the one series that I have collected ALL volumes. There's a HUGE Ranma/Akane moment on that final volume so it's a must have.

I'm just really glad that my local library carry a good selection of manga. I'm currently reading so many series which I don't have to spend money on. I've got Hot Gimmick, Whistle, Bleach, Maison Ikkoku, One Piece, Naruto and Shaman King.

Belated Happy Birthday gilyann!

I started reading Fushigi Yuugi by Yu Watase and it's great so far. It's shoujo, comedy, action and drama rolled into one. I like Miaka/Tamahome as a couple. Although whenever they mentioned Suzaku, Seryuu, Genbu and Biakko, it reminds me of SDK because those are Kyo's signature moves.

I got a Samurai Champloo DVD set for a really good deal and it's an awesome anime so far. Of course it's from the same creator of Cowboy Bebop (drools at the thought of Spike Spiegel) so no surprise there. I also got X by CLAMP, Gungrave, and Hellsing which is scaring the hell out of me because Alucard is a bit creepy.

Finally got my hands to CardCaptor Sakura movie 2: The Sealed Card. It's better than the first one because the Syaoran/Sakura moments are so kawaii!

My manga wishlist: Samurai Deeper Kyo vol. 20, D.N.Angel vol. 12, Fruits Basket vol. 15, Trigun Maximum vol.11 TokyoPop seem to like to take their sweet time translating these titles. They release SDK every two months which will take forever considering that there are 38 volumes in total!
